NAMM Show 2027 Anaheim Transportation Guide: Car Service

The 2027 NAMM Show is confirmed for January 26-30, 2027 at the Anaheim Convention Center, with exhibits open January 28-30, according to NAMM's attend page. It is the music-products industry's annual gathering, and for one week the Anaheim resort district fills with exhibitors, retailers, artists and after-hours events. This guide covers how to get there from the airports, how to move between hotel and hall, and how exhibitors and groups use hourly service and Sprinters during the show.

Dates, venue and who attends

NAMM lists "Events: January 26-30, 2027" and "Exhibits: January 28-30, 2027" at the "Anaheim Convention Center, Southern California," with "5,400+ Brands" on the floor. The show is an industry event; badges are issued through NAMM's registration, and the attend page describes it as the place "where the music industry congregates to kick off the year." Plan around the two halves: education summits and events from the 26th, the exhibit halls from the 28th.

Hotels: book the official block, and read the fine print

NAMM's housing page says to "book your hotel from January 26 - 30" and that "exhibits will be open from January 28 - 30." Its official housing partner is EventSphere; NAMM warns about "hotel poachers" and says it "does not endorse booking hotel reservations through any source other than EventSphere." Note the deposit rule: "a nonrefundable two-night room and tax deposit will be charged to the credit card on file by your confirmed hotel for all reservations on January 8, 2027," unless cancelled by 11:59 p.m. on January 7, 2027.

The 2027 rate table on that page lists distances to the convention center. Properties at under half a mile include the Best Western Plus Stovall's Inn (0.28), Clarion Hotel (0.28), Courtyard Anaheim Resort (0.31), Portofino Inn & Suites (0.32), Desert Palms (0.35), Cortona Inn & Suites (0.37), DoubleTree Suites Anaheim Resort/CC (0.38) and Castle Inn and Suites (0.39). Those are walkable. Hotels listed at a mile or more, such as the Sheraton Garden Grove (1.04), Four Points (1.18), Holiday Inn & Suites Anaheim (1.5), Homewood Suites Maingate (1.5) and Hotel Fera (2.7), are a ride, especially with gear or at the end of a 12-hour day.

Airports: which one to fly into

• John Wayne Airport (SNA) is the closest commercial airport to Anaheim and the easiest arrival for the show. A one-way transfer is a short Orange County run.
• LAX has the most international lift, which matters for overseas exhibitors. It is a long freeway transfer; our distance-based fare from LAX to the Disneyland Hotel, in the same resort district as the convention center, was $165 for a sedan on 2026-10-10. • Long Beach (LGB) and Ontario (ONT) are alternatives with fewer nonstops; both are workable transfers.

Hotel to hall: when to walk and when to ride

If your hotel is on the short list above, walk; Katella Avenue and Harbor Boulevard are busy but direct. Ride if you are more than a mile out, moving instruments or demo gear, hosting buyers, or heading to evening events across the district. Expect the convention center approaches to be slowest at opening and closing on exhibit days, so set your pickup time with that in mind rather than at the published hall opening.

Exhibitors: why hourly service fits show week

Exhibitor days are a chain of short moves: hotel, hall, a lunch with a distributor, back to the hall, a showcase at night. With hourly service the chauffeur and vehicle are reserved for the hours you book, stage where waiting is permitted and coordinate your return pickup. Online hourly bookings start at 4 hours, in 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 15-hour blocks, with about 25 miles of local driving per hour and unlimited stops; the clock starts at the pickup time, and extra time is billed at the same hourly rate. Rates: Comfort Sedan $80, Luxury SUV $120, Escalade Elite $130, Executive Sedan $135 (plus $25 once), Mercedes Sprinter $175 per hour. A six-hour Luxury SUV block for a buyer-hosting afternoon is $720 before optional gratuity (20% preselected, adjustable).

Groups: the Sprinter

Brand teams, artist entourages and dealer groups book the Mercedes Sprinter, up to 14 passengers online, at $175 per hour. A typical pattern is a 4-hour evening block for the after-hours showcases and a one-way airport transfer at each end of the week. Booking the return transfer together with the outbound saves 5%. Checklist for NAMM week

• Register for a badge through NAMM and book housing through EventSphere before the January 8, 2027 deposit date.
• Pick the airport by your routing: SNA for convenience, LAX for international nonstops.
• Send us flight numbers for every traveler on a group booking.
• Book hourly blocks for exhibit days with buyer meetings; one-way transfers for straight hotel-hall runs.
