Car Service in Los Angeles

A prearranged car and a professional chauffeur, at a flat rate agreed before you travel. No surge, no bidding, no wondering which car will turn up. Airport, hourly, point-to-point and group transport across Los Angeles.

A car service is transport you arrange in advance rather than hail on the spot. The vehicle, the chauffeur and the price are all fixed before the day, so nothing about the trip is decided by an algorithm while you are standing at a curb. In Los Angeles that matters most at LAX, where prearranged vehicles meet passengers at the terminal itself rather than in the rideshare lot.

Choosing

Which kind of car service do you actually need?

Most people searching for a car service in Los Angeles need one of four things. They are priced differently, and picking the wrong one is the most common way to overpay.

If your trip is…Book thisHow it is pricedTypical from
Airport to a single addressAirport transferFlat rate by destination$95 sedan
One pickup, one drop-off, in townPoint to pointFlat rate by distanceQuoted
Three or more stops, or a time that may moveHourly / as-directedPer hour, car held for you$85 per hour
Five or more passengers, or heavy luggageSprinter vanFlat or hourly$185

The rule of thumb: two point-to-point transfers almost always beat a four-hour hourly block on price. A day with four stops almost never does, because every separate booking carries its own minimum and its own risk that the car is not there when the meeting overruns. If the schedule can move, pay for time rather than distance.

Published Rates

What a car service costs in Los Angeles

These are flat published rates from LAX, quoted before you confirm and unchanged by traffic, time of day or demand. Destinations not listed are quoted on the same basis.

Hourly hire is $85 per hour for an executive sedan, $110 for an SUV and $185 for a Sprinter. That figure is all-in: chauffeur, fuel, mileage within the LA area, standard gratuity and tax are already inside it. No per-person charges and no per-stop add-ons.

Every airport booking includes live flight tracking and 35 minutes of complimentary wait time, counted from actual landing. An optional in-terminal meet and greet at baggage claim is $60, charged once and covering the round trip. Full list: LAX flat rate price list.

Local Operating Detail

Three things that only matter in Los Angeles

LAX-it does not apply to you

Rideshare and taxi pickups at LAX are routed to the LAX-it lot, reached by shuttle. Prearranged, TCP-licensed vehicles are not. Your chauffeur meets you at the terminal itself, which removes the shuttle queue entirely on arrival.

Distance is a poor guide to time

LAX to Downtown is under twenty miles and can take twenty-five minutes or eighty, depending entirely on the hour. We quote the fare on the route, not the clock, so a bad traffic day costs you time but not money. Flat rate means flat rate.

The canyons and the coast need the right car

Topanga, Las Virgenes and Coldwater are narrow and slow. For Malibu, the Hollywood Hills and the Valley passes, a sedan is more comfortable than a full-size SUV, and a Sprinter needs a route planned rather than assumed.

Questions

Car service in Los Angeles, answered

A car service is prearranged. The vehicle, the chauffeur and the price are all assigned before the day and do not change. A rideshare is dispatched the moment you request it, so the car, the driver and the fare are unknown until you book, and the fare moves with demand. For an airport pickup or a timed appointment, the difference that matters is that a car service is committed to you in advance.

Flat rates by destination. From LAX an executive sedan starts at $95 to Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, $105 to Hollywood or Downtown LA, $145 to Malibu or Anaheim. SUVs and Sprinter vans are higher. Hourly hire starts at $85 per hour for a sedan, $110 for an SUV and $185 for a Sprinter, all-inclusive. There is no surge pricing at any time.

Point-to-point when you know both ends of the trip and nothing in between: an airport transfer, a dinner, a single meeting. Hourly when the schedule can move, when there are three or more stops, or when waiting matters more than distance. Two point-to-point transfers are usually cheaper than a four-hour hourly block; a day with four stops almost never is.

No. Every airport booking is tracked by flight number and 35 minutes of wait time is included, counted from your actual landing rather than the scheduled one. A delayed flight moves the pickup automatically at no charge.

Yes, and a large share of bookings are made that way by assistants and by family members in other states. Put the passenger's name and mobile number on the booking and your own number in the notes, and ask to be told when they are in the car.

A day ahead is comfortable for a standard transfer. Same-day requests are handled by 24/7 dispatch and are often possible. Book further ahead for Sprinter vans, multi-vehicle bookings, award season and major event weekends, when the fleet commits earlier.

Gratuity is optional on flat-rate transfers and already included in the published hourly rate. Nothing is added to your card after the ride without your agreement.

All of Los Angeles County and Orange County, including Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Downtown LA, Pasadena, Burbank, Glendale, Malibu, Long Beach, Anaheim, Irvine and Newport Beach, plus intercity runs to San Diego, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Temecula and Las Vegas.
