A plan parents agree before the night
A prom booking is made by a parent or guardian with the full itinerary: the pickup address, the photo stop, dinner, the venue and the address every passenger is returned to. The chauffeur follows that plan. Changes on the night go through dispatch and the booking contact, so nobody is dropped somewhere that was not agreed. Lux4Rides chauffeurs operate under California TCP #40987 and the vehicles are commercially insured.
Group size decides the vehicle
A Cadillac Escalade seats up to six and suits a couple of pairs with photographs in mind. A Mercedes Sprinter seats up to 14 and is the usual choice for a full friend group, with everyone in one vehicle and the cost shared across the seats. Executive sedans cover a pair. Confirm the head count when you book so the vehicle is right rather than squeezed.
Hourly for the night, or point-to-point
Most prom bookings are an hourly block: the car collects the group, waits during dinner, drops at the venue and returns at the agreed time, with the same chauffeur throughout. If you only need a ride to the venue and a separate ride home, two point-to-point transfers can be booked instead. Current base hourly rates by vehicle are on our hourly service page; your reservation shows the figure before payment.
House rules that keep the night simple
Vehicles are alcohol-free for under-21 passengers and the chauffeur will not stop for it. The car waits only where waiting is permitted near the venue, so the pickup point after the dance may be a short walk from the door, agreed in advance. Venues, schools and hotels set their own arrival rules, and we follow them on the night.
