The 2027 ceremony, and why the week is booked hourly
The 99th Academy Awards take place on Sunday, March 14, 2027 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. Streets around Hollywood Boulevard close in the days before the ceremony and arrivals are controlled by the event, so an Oscars booking is a block of hours on one vehicle with one chauffeur rather than a set of separate rides. The clock runs from the first address, the car holds while you are inside, and the same chauffeur carries you to the parties afterwards.
What a standby block covers
Hotel or residence pickup, the approach to the venue along the route the event allows, holding nearby during the ceremony, the move to the Governors Ball or a private party, and the ride home whenever the night ends. Minimum booked hours apply on ceremony night and overtime continues at the agreed rate once the block is used, so nothing is re-priced at one in the morning. Arrivals, credentials and what we do not control
We control the vehicle, the chauffeur, the time the car is outside your door and the route to the venue. The event controls where vehicles may stop, which approach is open and how guests are collected, and those details often change the same week. We do not provide tickets, credentials, parking passes or access of any kind; a transportation booking is transportation. Your day-of contact is told the plan as soon as the event publishes it.
Parties, publicists and more than one vehicle
Talent, executives and press often move as a group with different timings: a principal in an executive sedan or Escalade, a team in a second vehicle or a Sprinter. Several vehicles on the same evening are run as one plan by one dispatcher, with a named contact for the whole movement. Discretion is standard; drivers do not discuss passengers or routes.
