Road closures: what 2025 tells us
For the 2025 race, Clark County closed circuit roads from 1:00 PM on each race day, November 20 to 22, reopening overnight and fully by 2:00 AM on November 23, and closed Koval Lane between Rochelle and Harmon around the clock from November 15 to 24.
The 2026 schedule has not been published yet; the race's transportation site lists it as upcoming, and text alerts are available by texting F1LV to 31996. Preparation work started early: in October 2026 Koval and Flamingo were closed for a temporary bridge.
Where cars dropped riders in 2024
For the 2024 race, Formula 1 named designated rideshare points at Virgin Hotels, Howard Hughes Center, Tuscany, Park MGM and Caesars Palace, and suggested walking from nearby hotels. Drop-off points for 2026 have not been published. A private car goes to your hotel entrance; for a circuit gate, we confirm the closest permitted stop once the 2026 plan is out.
The drive from Los Angeles
The route is the I-15 over the Cajon Pass and across the Mojave, about 267 miles. Our booking form estimated 5 h 20 min to 7 h 6 min from Downtown Los Angeles for a Tuesday 3:00 PM departure and 4 h 10 min to 4 h 55 min for the return. Leave early: Friday and Sunday traffic toward and away from Las Vegas is heavy, and race-day closures started at 1:00 PM in 2025.
What a private car costs
One way, Downtown Los Angeles to the Bellagio, on our booking form on October 21, 2026, taxes and fees included, before the optional gratuity (20% preselected): Comfort Sedan $720, Luxury SUV $1,075, Escalade Elite $1,373, Executive Sedan $1,070, Mercedes Sprinter $2,641. The return was $718, $1,073, $1,371, $1,068 and $2,636. Book both legs in the same reservation and each is 5% less.

Flying instead
In 2025 Harry Reid International Airport warned that nearby closures would affect access during race week, that vehicles could not idle at the curb, and pointed drivers to its cell phone lot. For the Los Angeles end of the trip, see LAX car service.
