The Sunday before Christmas, with a 1:25 kickoff
SoFi's football calendar shows a busy week: the Chargers host the 49ers on Thursday, December 17 at 5:15 PM, and the Rams host the Cowboys on Sunday the 20th at 1:25 PM; the Rams' Week 18 game against the Seahawks is still listed with date and time TBA. For the 1:25 kickoff, SoFi's NFL tailgating policy says the Hyundai Pink Zone typically opens about five hours before kickoff, around 8:25 AM, and all other lots four hours before, around 9:25 AM; entry gates open two to three hours before kickoff. The event page showed "Parking Lots Open: TBD" and "Doors Open: TBD" on October 12.
An NFL game usually runs a little over three hours, so the exit lands around 4:45 PM, in the last light of a December afternoon and on the weekend when the roads are busy for reasons that have nothing to do with football. SoFi says lots generally close one hour after the event ends.
Tickets and the parking pass
Tickets and suites are sold through SoFi's event page, which showed "On Sale Now" on October 12 and displays no prices, so we quote none; if the game is a gift, buy there. Lux4Rides is not affiliated with the Rams, the Cowboys, the NFL or SoFi Stadium and sells transportation only.
Driving a houseful yourselves runs into the parking rule: SoFi says every guest must have a parking pass, that a vehicle without one is turned away to offsite options, and that for NFL games onsite inventory is extremely limited. Inglewood has no street parking for events and enforces its residential permit streets with citations and towing. Without a pass, Inglewood Park & Go remote lots run shuttles to the stadium.
Holiday visitors and big groups
The week before Christmas, a party of four becomes a party of nine. The vehicle question comes first: a Luxury SUV carries 7 passengers and 6 bags, an Escalade Elite 6 and 5, a sedan 3 and 3, and a Mercedes Sprinter takes up to 14 when booked online. SoFi defines an oversize vehicle as 16 seats or more, so the Sprinter uses the same Kareem Court drop-off as every other car, bus and shuttle.
Inside the stadium, the NFL clear bag policy applies: a clear bag up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag, or a clutch up to 4.5 by 6.5. Backpacks, diaper bags and luggage of any kind are prohibited, as are strollers and car seats; anything over the limit goes back to the vehicle or to a bag valet for a fee. Visitors who landed that morning keep their suitcases in the car, and the child seat we install ($25 each per ride, up to three of each type) stays in the vehicle on an hourly booking.
Tailgating from 8:25 AM
SoFi permits NFL tailgating only in the Hyundai Pink Zone with a Pink Zone pass bought in advance; the zone typically opens about five hours before kickoff, so around 8:25 AM here. Tailgating must stop by kickoff, there is no in-and-out, and anyone on the campus on game day, including the Pink Zone, needs a game ticket.
A chauffeured car does not park in the tailgate. If relatives or friends hold the Pink Zone pass, the chauffeur drops the rest of the party at Kareem Court as the zone opens and stages off campus where waiting is permitted. From an 8 AM pickup, a 10-hour block covers the tailgate, the game, the exit and a dinner stop; 8 hours covers it without the dinner. Extra time is billed at the same hourly rate.
Getting there: the Kareem Court rules
SoFi's parking page sends rideshare, taxis, limos, buses and shuttles to the northbound curb lane on Kareem Court, reached only via westbound Pincay Drive from Crenshaw Boulevard, where traffic control officers direct every vehicle. The designated pickup is on Kareem Court at Manchester Boulevard. Your chauffeur follows the same route and cannot hold a spot at the curb.
Guests with a disability have a separate NFL private-auto ADA drop-off on District Drive and an ADA pickup that must be staged by the end of the third quarter, per SoFi's accessible parking page; tell us at booking.
- From LAX: the stadium is just east of the airport; inside-terminal meet and greet is $60 per booking, and luggage stays in the vehicle.
- Sunday morning arrival: light roads into Inglewood; the harder leg is the 4:45 PM exit into pre-Christmas weekend traffic.
After the game: dinner stop or straight home
Message the chauffeur as you leave your seats. On a scheduled transfer, set the return for about 45 minutes after the expected end and text dispatch if the game runs long. On an hourly booking the chauffeur is staged nearby, meets you at Kareem Court and Manchester, and a restaurant on the way home is simply the next stop; with visitors in town that is usually how the day ends. No vehicle gets around the district's exit pattern, but a chauffeur who has worked it before does not need to learn it on the day.
Coming from across Southern California
From Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Pasadena and central Los Angeles, the Sunday morning run to Inglewood is simple and an hourly block from 8 AM or two transfers both work. From Orange County, Irvine and Newport Beach, the form raises the hourly minimum for the distance, so compare two transfers for a houseful. From Long Beach the 405 is short, and a Sprinter that collects a family from two addresses on the way is the usual booking. Pickup areas are on the SoFi Stadium car service page.
