Coachella 2027: VIP Passes, Where to Buy Them, and Why You Will Want a Car Service

Coachella 2027 is April 9\u201311 and 16\u201318 at the Empire Polo Club. The only legitimate place to buy passes and VIP passes, what VIP actually includes, why rideshare collapses at midnight, and what a private chauffeur from LA or Palm Springs really costs.

Coachella 2027 runs April 9–11 and April 16–18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, about 145 miles east of LAX. The dates are confirmed by the festival; the lineup is not out yet. This post covers the two things people search for most before they go: where passes and VIP passes are legitimately sold and what VIP actually gets you, and how you get to the polo fields and, the harder part, back from them at 1 AM. If you only want the car, the Coachella 2027 car service page has every fare.

Dates: Weekend 1 April 9–11, 2027 · Weekend 2 April 16–18, 2027 (same lineup both weekends)

Where: Empire Polo Club, 81-800 Avenue 51, Indio, CA 92201

Passes: coachella.com and the festival's official ticketing partner only

Private car from LAX: from $428.72 one way (Comfort Sedan), $665.35 Escalade, $1,610.05 Sprinter for up to 14, as priced November 3, 2026

Where to buy Coachella 2027 passes (and where not to)

There is exactly one legitimate channel: coachella.com and the official ticketing partner it links to. The festival typically opens a registration, then an advance sale with a payment plan, and later a general sale if passes remain. Every pass is tied to a wristband that the festival activates; counterfeit and cancelled wristbands show up almost entirely through unofficial resale. If you buy from anyone else, you are buying a promise, not a pass. The festival also runs its own official exchange for pass holders who can no longer attend; use that rather than a classified ad.

The same rule covers everything attached to the weekend: parking passes, shuttle passes, camping and the various VIP tiers are all sold by the festival. Lux4Rides does not sell or arrange any of them and is not affiliated with Goldenvoice or the Empire Polo Club. We are the car.

What a VIP pass actually includes

VIP at Coachella means access to the VIP areas near the main stages, with their own food and drink options, lounges, air-conditioned restrooms and shorter lines; it does not mean a backstage pass and it does not include transportation to the grounds or parking. The festival publishes the exact inclusions and prices for each year; read them on the official page before you decide whether VIP is worth it for your group. For most people the VIP value is the restrooms and the exits at the end of the night, which brings us to the transportation problem.

How to get to Coachella 2027

OptionGoing inComing out at midnightCost
Drive yourself2–2.5 hours from LA; festival parking pass or free general lotLong lot exits, and you are the sober driver for a dark two-hour drive homeGas + parking
Official shuttle passLoops from designated valley hotel stopsLeaves with the crowd on its schedule; does not serve private housesFestival price
RideshareDrops at the designated rideshare lot; fine in the afternoonTens of thousands of people walk to the same lot; long queues and fares far above the afternoon rate in past yearsSurge
Private chauffeurDoor to door from LA, LAX, Beverly Hills or Palm Springs; fare shown before you payOn a standby booking the car is already at the agreed point outside the perimeter when you walk outLAX one way from $428.72; by the hour from $80

Rideshare is not bad at Coachella; it is bad at 1 AM at Coachella. The festival sets up a designated rideshare lot each year, and going in during the afternoon is usually straightforward. The exit is the problem: when the headliner finishes, the whole field leaves at once, the walk to the lot is long, the queue is longer, and surge pricing does what surge pricing does. The festival's own guidance warns guests to expect waits after the last set. If you need to be in a specific car at a specific time with a fare that was fixed in the afternoon, that is a chauffeur on standby.

What a private car actually costs

Priced by our booking form on November 3, 2026, one way to the Empire Polo Club: from LAX (145 miles) a Comfort Sedan is $428.72, an Executive Sedan $585.90, a Cadillac Escalade $665.35 and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter $1,610.05; from Beverly Hills (140 miles) $416.72, $570.90, $647.10 and $1,567.55; from Palm Springs International (22 miles) $133.52, $216.90, $216.40 and $564.55. Book the return in the same reservation and the return ride is 5% less. For the festival days most guests book by the hour, from $80 for a Comfort Sedan to $175 for a Sprinter with a four-hour minimum online, so one chauffeur stays with the house. The exact fare for your address is shown before you pay; there is no festival surge.

Split a Sprinter fourteen ways from Beverly Hills and the round trip works out to roughly $213 a person, with no designated driver and nobody standing in a lot at 1 AM.

Weekend 1 or Weekend 2?

Same lineup, different crowd. Weekend 1 (April 9–11) carries the premieres, the media and the busiest Friday on the I-10; Weekend 2 (April 16–18) is usually calmer on the road and in the houses around La Quinta. Either way, leave Los Angeles before noon or after 8 PM on the Friday, or go out on the Thursday evening if your house is ready.

Groups, houses and crews

Eight or more guests in one house, an artist with a team, or a brand with a shuttle between a hotel and an activation is arranged by our concierge team with one dispatcher and a run sheet: Sprinter convoys, Escalade splits, standby rotations for the late nights, one invoice.
