Where Universal is and how cars arrive
Universal Studios Hollywood is at 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, directly off the 101 (Hollywood) Freeway, about ten minutes north of Downtown Los Angeles by Universal's own description, with exits at Universal Studios Boulevard and Lankershim Boulevard. Universal's directions page lists its parking structures and the Metro pedestrian bridge from the Universal City Red Line station; it does not publish a dedicated rideshare or private-car curb. Your chauffeur confirms the drop-off and meeting point with you by text, following the attendants' directions on the day.
- Daily parking (non-event dates): general $40 before 5 p.m., $10 after; preferred from $60; front gate from $70; valet $25 for the first two hours, $60 after. Universal says rates can change without notice.
- Halloween Horror Nights dates: general parking $40 all day, preferred from $60, front gate from $70.
- By Metro: the Red Line's Universal City station connects to the park by the pedestrian bridge at Lankershim and Universal Hollywood Drive.
From the airports and across the city
Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) is the closest airport; LAX reaches Universal City by the 405 and the 101 and can take an hour or more in the afternoon. From LAX, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Pasadena or the Valley, enter your address in the booking form: the fare is distance-based and shown before you pay. Our LAX car service page covers the terminals, and Burbank airport car service the closer option.
Seasonal events and what they change
Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights through November 1, is separately ticketed and starts at 7 p.m.; Universal advises against bringing children under 13, and event-night parking has its own rates. Holidays at Universal and Grinchmas run from November 21 to January 3 and are included with park admission (blockout dates apply); the holiday guide has the detail. Universal sells all tickets on its own site; Lux4Rides sells transportation only.
Groups and corporate visits
For a team outing or a group arriving on different flights, a Mercedes Sprinter takes up to 14 passengers booked online, and larger groups are planned across several vehicles. See corporate transportation and the Sprinter fleet.
