Head Trip 2026 Car Service: Los Angeles and LAX to the Empire Polo Club
A private chauffeur from anywhere in Los Angeles, LAX, Orange County or the Coachella Valley to Head Trip, Goldenvoice’s one-time electronic festival in Indio, and back after the last set. Cadillac Escalade, executive sedan or a 14-seat Sprinter, with the festival’s own vehicle rules built into the plan and your fare shown before you pay.
Head Trip runs Saturday October 10 and Sunday October 11, 2026 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, about 130 miles from Los Angeles. Lux4Rides drives you there and back in a private vehicle with one chauffeur: pickup at your door or at LAX, drop-off in the festival’s vehicle area during its 1 pm to 10 pm window, and a pre-arranged pickup after the headliner instead of a rideshare queue at 2 am.
Fares are per vehicle and calculated by distance. For LAX to the Empire Polo Club in October 2026 the checkout works out to roughly $400 for a comfort sedan, $525 for an executive sedan, $620 for a Cadillac Escalade and $1,500 for a Sprinter seating up to 14, before optional gratuity. The exact figure for your address appears at checkout before you pay, and it does not change once booked.
One stage, two nights, and a 130-mile drive each way
Head Trip is Goldenvoice’s one-time electronic festival on the Empire Polo Club grounds in Indio, built around a single stage so nothing overlaps. The announced Saturday bill is Calvin Harris, FISHER and Chris Lake together as Under Construction, Peggy Gou with Four Tet, and Seth Troxler with Ben Sterling; Sunday brings Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, Dom Dolla with KETTAMA, The Blessed Madonna and DJ Harvey. It is an 18+ event.
The venue is the same polo field Coachella uses, which means the same arithmetic: about 130 miles from Los Angeles, a desert drive that is pleasant at noon and long at 2 am, and a few thousand cars leaving at the same time. The festival’s own pages say rideshare waits peak between midnight and 2:30 am.
A reserved car changes the shape of the night. You leave Los Angeles when you want, arrive inside the festival’s 1 pm to 10 pm drop-off window, and your chauffeur is already positioned for the pre-arranged pickup after the closing set. Cold water, charging ports and a cabin you can sleep in on the I-10 home are the rest of it. Everything on this page about the festival itself comes from its official site and is dated below; the festival sets those rules, not us.

The festival’s vehicle rules, and how we work inside them
Head Trip publishes specific rules for cars, and a good chauffeur service plans around them rather than hoping. As of October 3, 2026 the official Getting Here page says:
Black car and limo drop-offs are accepted Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 10 pm in the festival’s black-car area, which requires a vehicle pass issued by the festival. Pickups are staged from 10 pm. Services without a pass use the public pick-up and drop-off area at Madison Street and Avenue 52.
The rideshare lot (Lot 1D, Avenue 49 and Monroe Street) runs 1 pm to 3 am, with waits the festival itself says peak from midnight to 2:30 am. General pick-up and drop-off (Lot 13A) runs 9 am to 2 am on both days. Day parking opens at 1 pm and cars are towed after 2 am.
What that means for your booking: your chauffeur confirms the drop-off point and the after-show meeting point with you before the day, following whichever rule applies to the vehicle on the day. A pre-arranged pickup is still a short walk from the gate, because the festival decides where cars may stand, not us. We do not sell tickets, passes or any form of entry.
How a Head Trip booking runs
-
Book online or call
Choose the vehicle, enter your pickup address and the Empire Polo Club, and the checkout shows the fare for your exact route before you pay. For a round trip, add the return in the same reservation.
-
Chauffeur assigned before the day
Your chauffeur is assigned 24 to 48 hours before pickup. You receive their name and a private trip page where their photo, car and plate appear from 48 hours out.
-
Drop-off point confirmed
Before the day, the chauffeur confirms where the car will stop, following the festival’s black-car rules in force that day, and the meeting point for after the show.
-
The drive out
Door to door on the I-10 with water, charging and a cool cabin. Your trip page shows the chauffeur’s live location once they are on the way to you.
-
After the headliner
The chauffeur is positioned for the agreed pickup time and place. Running late? Message through your trip page; the car waits.
-
Home, or the hotel
Back to Los Angeles overnight, or to a Coachella Valley hotel with the return booked for the next day.
What to send dispatch for a festival booking
Send this
- Pickup address and the time you want to be on the field, so we can set the departure, not the other way round.
- Which day or days, and whether you want the same-night return to Los Angeles or a hotel in the valley.
- Passenger count and luggage, which decides sedan, Escalade or Sprinter.
- A mobile number that will be answered at 1 am for the pickup.
- Whether anyone in the party needs step-free access.
Do not assume
- That the car can wait at the gate. The festival decides where vehicles stop and stage; the pickup is a short walk.
- That the booking includes tickets, passes or entry. It is transportation only.
- That a rideshare at 1 am will be cheaper. The festival’s own page says rideshare waits peak between midnight and 2:30 am.
- That you can add a second vehicle on the night. Book the Sprinter now; next weekend is close.
Timing: when to leave Los Angeles, and when you are back
Leaving central Los Angeles or LAX between 11 am and 1 pm puts you at the polo grounds between about 1:30 and 4 pm, inside the drop-off window and with the single stage already running. Festival afternoons add traffic on the I-10 east of Beaumont and on Avenue 49 and Monroe, so a chauffeur who leaves margin is worth more than one who leaves late.
For the way home, the festival stages black-car pickups from 10 pm, and the last set runs later. Plan on a 2:30 to 3:30 am arrival in Los Angeles after a Saturday or Sunday close. If that is a worse idea than it sounds, book a Coachella Valley hotel for the night and let us bring you back on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning instead, rested, with the return booked in the same reservation for 5% off.
Flying in? Palm Springs International Airport is 35 to 45 minutes from the Empire Polo Club. A PSP pickup is a far shorter run than LAX, and the same chauffeur can cover the airport, the hotel and the festival.
Vehicles, and what this run costs
Fares are per vehicle, never per person, and they are calculated by distance at checkout, where you see the exact figure for your pickup address before paying. For LAX to the Empire Polo Club, about 130 miles, the checkout calculation in October 2026 comes to roughly:
Comfort sedan (up to 3) about $400 · Luxury SUV (up to 6) about $500 · Executive sedan, Mercedes or BMW 7 Series (up to 3) about $525 · Cadillac Escalade (up to 6) about $620 · Mercedes Sprinter (up to 14) about $1,500, which is about $107 a seat when it is full.
Those are one-way figures before optional gratuity, which is adjustable at checkout. A round trip booked in the same reservation is 5% less than two one-ways. The fare is fixed when you book; there is no surge and nothing is re-priced when the show lets out. For five or more people a Sprinter is both the cheapest seat and the only way to keep the group together.
Staying in the valley: both days with one chauffeur
If you are sleeping in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta or Indio, the useful booking is not two long transfers but a car held by the hour between your hotel and the polo grounds. One chauffeur, one vehicle, both days: the hotel run in the afternoon, the pickup after the headliner, and whatever dinner or after-party sits between.
Hourly standby can be booked online in blocks of three hours or more at the hourly rate the checkout shows for each vehicle, or quoted for a full festival day by dispatch. Tell us the hotel, the days, and roughly when you want to be on the field, and we will size the block honestly rather than sell you a long one.
Groups split well too: a principal in a sedan, the rest of the party in a Sprinter, run as one plan by one dispatcher so nobody is waiting for the other car at 1 am.

The festival accepts black-car drop-offs in its vehicle area from 1 pm to 10 pm on Saturday and Sunday and stages black-car pickups from 10 pm; cars without a festival vehicle pass use the public pick-up and drop-off area at Madison Street and Avenue 52. Your chauffeur confirms the exact point with you before the day and again on the night. The festival decides where cars may stand, so the pickup is a short walk from the gate.
About 130 miles and 2 to 2.5 hours from central Los Angeles or LAX in normal traffic. Festival afternoons add time on the I-10 and on the local avenues around the polo grounds, so we schedule a margin. Palm Springs International Airport is 35 to 45 minutes from the venue.
Yes, as an hourly standby booking: a car and chauffeur held for you between your hotel and the venue, booked online in blocks of three hours or more or quoted for a full festival day. A standard transfer ends at drop-off and the chauffeur returns for the agreed pickup time.
Booking the return in the same reservation takes 5% off the combined fare. You can return the same night to Los Angeles, usually arriving 2:30 to 3:30 am, or the next day from a Coachella Valley hotel.
A Mercedes Sprinter seats up to 14 and comes to about $107 a seat on the LAX run when it is full, less than two SUVs and with everyone in one car. For four to six people a Cadillac Escalade or luxury SUV; for one to three, a sedan.
No. A booking is transportation only. Tickets, passes, lots and entry are controlled by the festival. Head Trip is 18+ with ID.
