Wheels-Down to Wherever You're Headed

Van Nuys Airport (VNY) is the busiest general-aviation field in the country, and on a given afternoon its ramps hold more Gulfstreams, Challengers, and Citations than most international terminals see in a week. When you step off a private jet at Castle & Cooke, Clay Lacy, Signature, or Jet Aviation, the last thing you want is to stand in an FBO lobby waiting on a car. Lux4Rides exists to remove that gap entirely. We track your tail number, watch your ETA in real time, and have an S-Class or Escalade staged at the FBO before your aircraft is on the ground — so the handoff from cabin to car takes minutes, not a phone call. Where the operator and ramp rules allow, our chauffeur meets you plane-side, helps with bags, and you are moving before the line crew has finished chocking the wheels. Most of our private-aviation clients land at VNY or at neighboring Hollywood Burbank (BUR), where the Atlantic and Signature FBOs sit a short taxi from the runway and put you fifteen minutes from a Burbank studio lot or twenty-five from Beverly Hills. Whether you are a studio executive shuttling between a BUR arrival and a Burbank soundstage, a touring principal landing at Clay Lacy ahead of a Hollywood Bowl date, or a family arriving at Castle & Cooke for a weekend in Malibu, the ground side of private aviation should feel as seamless as the flight. This is point-to-point and as-directed work, booked hourly when the day has multiple stops, and it is the kind of discreet, flight-aware service our chauffeurs run every week.

Every VNY & BUR FBO, Covered

Van Nuys has more than a dozen fixed-base operators, and we work all of them: Castle & Cooke Aviation and Clay Lacy on the west side of the field, Signature, Jet Aviation, and Atlantic Aviation among the rest. At Hollywood Burbank (BUR) we cover the Atlantic and Signature terminals, where a short ramp and quick taxi make for one of the fastest cabin-to-car transitions in the LA basin. Tell us your FBO and tail number when you book — or just the operator handling your trip — and dispatch routes the chauffeur to the correct gate, confirms the access procedure with that FBO, and stages accordingly. No two FBOs run their ramp the same way, and knowing the difference is most of the job.

Plane-Side Where Permitted, Lobby Where It Isn't

Some operators and security details clear vehicles to meet the aircraft directly on the ramp; others require pickup at the FBO entrance. We never assume. Before your arrival we confirm with your FBO and flight department whether plane-side access is authorized for that movement, and we brief the chauffeur accordingly. When it's permitted, the car is positioned at the aircraft, bags go straight from the hold to the trunk, and you are rolling within minutes of the door opening. When it isn't, your chauffeur is waiting just inside the FBO lobby with your name, ready the moment you clear. Either way the result is the same: no waiting, no scramble, no ride that hasn't arrived.

Flight-Tracked Dispatch That Adjusts in Real Time

Private aviation runs on its own clock — early arrivals, slipped departures, a diverted leg into BUR instead of VNY. Our dispatch monitors your tail number and ETA so the car moves with your flight, not against a guessed pickup time you set days earlier. Land forty minutes early and the chauffeur is already there; sit on a fuel stop and we hold without a meter penalty for the delay. For departures we build in cushion for the drive plus FBO check-in, so you reach the ramp unhurried. This is the difference between a car service and ground handling that actually understands how a Part 135 day unfolds.

The Right Car for the Movement

For a solo principal or a couple landing at Clay Lacy, the Mercedes S-Class is the quiet standard — discreet, smooth, and unmarked. For a family, a security detail, or anyone with golf bags and roller boards out of a Challenger, the Cadillac Escalade gives you room for the people and the gear. Arriving as a group, a band, or a production team? The Mercedes Sprinter keeps everyone and their cases together from the FBO to the lot, the hotel, or the venue. Because most jet arrivals turn into a full day on the ground — VNY to a Burbank studio, a Beverly Hills meeting, then dinner in West Hollywood — these movements are usually booked hourly with a three-to-four-hour minimum, so the same chauffeur and car stay with you between stops.

Private Jet & FBO Transportation (Van Nuys) FAQ

Plane-side pickup is possible at VNY when your FBO and flight department authorize ramp access for that movement. We confirm the procedure with your operator beforehand and brief the chauffeur. When ramp access isn't cleared, your chauffeur waits just inside the FBO lobby and meets you the moment you step off.

All of them. At VNY that includes Castle & Cooke, Clay Lacy, Signature, Jet Aviation, and Atlantic Aviation, among others. At Hollywood Burbank (BUR) we cover the Atlantic and Signature terminals. Give us your FBO and tail number and dispatch routes the car to the correct gate.

We track your tail number and live ETA, so the car moves with your actual arrival rather than a fixed time. If you land early the chauffeur is already on site; if your flight slips we hold and adjust without penalizing you for the delay.

Both. Many of our clients fly into BUR, where the Atlantic and Signature FBOs sit a short taxi from the runway, putting you minutes from a Burbank studio lot and about twenty-five minutes from Beverly Hills. We dispatch to VNY and BUR with the same flight-tracked approach.

Hourly chauffeur rates start from $85/hr for the executive S-Class sedan and from $110/hr for the Cadillac Escalade, with a three-to-four-hour minimum that fits most arrival days. A short point-to-point FBO transfer can also be quoted as a flat fare — just tell us the plan when you book.

If the jet arrival is a straight run to one address, a flat point-to-point fare works well. If the day has multiple stops — FBO to a studio, a meeting, then dinner — booking hourly keeps the same chauffeur and car with you throughout, which is how most private-aviation clients use us.

Yes. We routinely work with flight departments, schedulers, and executive assistants — share the tail number, FBO, and any security requirements, and we coordinate the ground side so the principal simply walks off the aircraft to a waiting car.
