What a 1:05 PM Sunday kickoff means for the day
On SoFi's football calendar this is the Rams' second home game in six days, after the Monday night Bills game on October 12. For a 1:05 kickoff the whole arrival happens in the morning: SoFi's NFL tailgating policy says the Hyundai Pink Zone typically opens about five hours before kickoff for Rams and Chargers regular-season games, around 8 AM, and all other lots four hours before, around 9 AM; entry gates open two to three hours before kickoff. The event page itself showed "Parking Lots Open: TBD" and "Doors Open: TBD" on October 12, so check it, and your ticket, the week of the game.
Sunday morning is the gentle half of the drive into Inglewood. The exit is the harder half: an NFL game usually runs a little over three hours, so a 1:05 start lets out after 4 PM into ordinary Sunday afternoon traffic on the 405 and the 105, plus everyone leaving the district at once. SoFi says lots generally close one hour after the event ends.
Tickets and the parking pass
Tickets and suites are sold through SoFi's event page, which showed "On Sale Now" on October 12 and displays no prices, so we quote none. Lux4Rides is not affiliated with the Rams, the NFL or SoFi Stadium and sells transportation only.
The parking rule is the one that catches people. SoFi says all guests must have a parking pass, and a vehicle without one is turned away and directed to offsite options; for NFL games the stadium calls onsite inventory "extremely limited", and day-of sales cost more. There is no street parking for events in Inglewood, and residential permit streets are enforced with citations and towing. Without a pass, the city's Inglewood Park & Go remote lots run shuttles to the stadium.
Tailgating as an hourly booking
SoFi allows tailgating at NFL games only in the Hyundai Pink Zone, with a Pink Zone pass bought in advance. Tailgating stops at kickoff, sweeps begin 15 minutes before, there are no in-and-out privileges, and anyone entering the campus on game day, including the Pink Zone, must hold a game ticket.
A chauffeur who stayed with the vehicle in the Pink Zone would be a person on campus without a ticket, so the honest arrangement is this: your group holds the Pink Zone pass in a friend's car, and the chauffeur brings you to the Kareem Court drop-off as the lots open, then stages off campus where waiting is permitted. On an hourly booking the chauffeur and vehicle are reserved for the hours you book, so an 8-hour block from a 7:30 AM pickup covers an 8 AM arrival, the game and the exit; 10 hours adds a stop on the way home. Extra time is billed at the same hourly rate, the clock starts at pickup, and about 25 miles of local driving are included per hour.
Getting there: SoFi's drop-off and pickup rules
SoFi's parking page names rideshare, taxis, limos, buses and shuttles together: all are dropped off on the northbound curb lane on Kareem Court, and drivers must reach Kareem Court via westbound Pincay Drive from Crenshaw Boulevard, then follow the traffic control officers. The designated pickup is on Kareem Court at Manchester Boulevard. Your chauffeur follows the same route as everyone else, and no car can hold a spot at the curb.
Guests with a disability have a separate NFL private-auto ADA drop-off on District Drive and an ADA pickup that must be staged by the end of the third quarter, per SoFi's accessible parking page; tell us when you book.
- A Mercedes Sprinter for up to 14 is not an oversize vehicle by SoFi's definition (16 seats or more) and uses the same Kareem Court drop-off.
- From LAX: the stadium sits just east of the airport; luggage stays in the vehicle because SoFi prohibits luggage of any kind inside.
Families and groups
SoFi applies the NFL clear bag policy: a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag, or a clutch up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Diaper bags and backpacks are prohibited, and strollers and car seats cannot come inside; they can be checked at a bag valet for a fee, or stay in the car. That is the practical case for an hourly booking with children: the seat we install ($25 each per ride, up to three of each type) stays in the vehicle all day.
Timing the exit
Message the chauffeur as you leave your seats, not at the final whistle; the walk to Kareem Court and Manchester takes time in a full stadium. On a scheduled transfer, set the return for about 45 minutes after the expected end and text dispatch if the game runs long. On an hourly booking the chauffeur is already staged nearby and simply moves when you message.
Coming from across Southern California
From Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Pasadena and central Los Angeles, a Sunday morning run to Inglewood is straightforward; it is the late-afternoon return that benefits from a chauffeur who has worked the district's exit pattern before. From Orange County, Irvine and Newport Beach the booking form raises the hourly minimum for the distance, and two transfers are often the better value. From Long Beach the run up the 405 is short enough that a 4-hour block fits a quick in-and-out without a tailgate. The SoFi Stadium car service page covers the pickup areas in full.
