A crosstown game on the first Sunday of November
SoFi's football calendar lists both teams' home games in the same building, and this one is a Rams home date; the Chargers host the Texans there a week later, on November 8. November 1 is also the first Sunday of November, the morning the clocks go back an hour, and the morning after a Saturday Halloween. If anyone in your party was out late, that extra hour is the only slack in a 1:05 PM kickoff.
The arrival arithmetic: SoFi's NFL tailgating policy says the Hyundai Pink Zone typically opens about five hours before kickoff for Rams and Chargers regular-season games, around 8 AM, and all other lots four hours before, around 9 AM; entry gates open two to three hours before kickoff. The event page showed "Parking Lots Open: TBD" and "Doors Open: TBD" on October 12. An NFL game usually runs a little over three hours, so expect to walk out after 4 PM, with the light going by the time most people are home now that the clocks have changed. Lots generally close one hour after the event ends.
Tickets, suites and the parking pass
Tickets and suite tickets are sold through SoFi's event page, which showed "On Sale Now" on October 12 without prices; we quote none. Lux4Rides is not affiliated with either team, the NFL or SoFi Stadium.
Parking is pass-only: SoFi says every guest must have a parking pass, that a vehicle without one is turned away to offsite options, and that for NFL games onsite inventory is extremely limited. There is no street parking for events in Inglewood, and residential permit streets are enforced with citations and towing. Without a pass, Inglewood Park & Go remote lots run shuttles to the stadium.
Two fan bases, one vehicle
Parties for this game run bigger than usual: a Rams household plus the Chargers in-laws, or a friend group in two colours. A Luxury SUV carries 7 passengers and 6 bags, an Escalade Elite 6 and 5, and a Mercedes Sprinter up to 14 when booked online. SoFi counts a vehicle as oversize only at 16 seats or more, so the Sprinter uses the same Kareem Court drop-off as everyone else.
Agree one rallying rule before you go in: everybody walks to the pickup corner at Kareem Court and Manchester, nobody waits for the car anywhere else, and one person messages the chauffeur. The venue is cashless, and bags follow the NFL clear bag policy, a clear bag up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches or a clutch up to 4.5 by 6.5, so jackets and anything bigger stay in the vehicle. Strollers and car seats are not allowed inside either; the seat we install ($25 each per ride) stays in the car for the day on an hourly booking.
The tailgate rule, honestly
Tailgating for NFL games is permitted only in the Hyundai Pink Zone with a Pink Zone pass bought in advance; vehicles without one are not admitted, and all tailgate activity must stop by kickoff. There are no in-and-out privileges, guests arriving later than an hour before kickoff may be moved to a non-tailgating lot, and anyone entering the campus perimeter on game day, including the Pink Zone, must hold a valid game ticket.
So a chauffeured car does not park in the tailgate. What works is an hourly booking: the chauffeur drops you at Kareem Court as the Pink Zone opens, your group tailgates at a friend's pass-holding vehicle, and the chauffeur stages off campus where waiting is permitted until you message after the game. From a 7:30 AM pickup that is an 8-hour block, or 10 hours with a stop on the way home. Extra time is billed at the same hourly rate.
Getting there: the Kareem Court rules
SoFi's parking page sends rideshare, taxis, limos, buses and shuttles to the same place: the northbound curb lane on Kareem Court. Drivers must reach it via westbound Pincay Drive from Crenshaw Boulevard and follow the traffic control officers. The designated pickup is on Kareem Court at Manchester Boulevard.
Guests with a disability have a separate NFL private-auto ADA drop-off on District Drive and an ADA pickup that must be staged by the end of the third quarter, per SoFi's accessible parking page; tell us at booking.
- From LAX: SoFi is just east of the airport; luggage stays in the vehicle because SoFi prohibits luggage of any kind inside. Inside-terminal meet and greet is $60 per booking.
- From Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Pasadena or the Valley: enter your address in the booking form; the fare is set by the mapped distance.
The exit, with the light going
Message the chauffeur as you leave your seats; the walk to Kareem Court and Manchester in a full stadium takes longer than it looks. A scheduled transfer should be set for about 45 minutes after the expected end, with a text to dispatch if the game runs long; an hourly chauffeur is already staged and simply moves when you message. If half the group wants dinner on the way home, add it as a stop on the hourly booking rather than a second ride.
Coming from across Southern California
From Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Pasadena and central Los Angeles, a Sunday morning run to Inglewood is simple and the four-hour hourly minimum covers it comfortably. From Orange County, Irvine and Newport Beach, the booking form raises the hourly minimum for the distance, so compare two transfers. From Long Beach the 405 is short, and a group that drinks at the game has an obvious reason to let someone else drive. Pickup areas are listed on the SoFi Stadium car service page.
